ABSTRACT
Horizon Europe WASTEWISE project (01/11/2024-30/04/2028), aligned with the
European Green Deal and Farm-to-Fork strategy, aims to reduce food waste to promote a
fair, healthy, and eco-friendly food system. The project involves 9 partners. Using a holistic
approach across the food supply chain, WASTEWISE measures environmental impacts,
proposes evidence-based measures, and encourages sustainable consumption and
poverty alleviation. UNITUS acts as partner, leading one work package of the project that is
focused on the prioritisation of strategies against food loss and waste, and on the
assessment of the economic impact of food loss and waste reduction.
