La Commissione Ricerca e di Terza Missione è un organo consultivo e strumentale per la Direttrice e il Consiglio di Dipartimento sui temi legati alla ricerca scientifica e alla promozione di attività che favoriscano l’interazione tra università, territorio e comunità, nelle loro espressioni socio-economica e politico- culturale. Il DEIM svolge infatti attività di Ricerca nelle aree dell’economia, dell’ ingegneria e delle scienze umanistiche e sociali. La compresenza delle sue principali aree – Economiche-Statistiche, Storiche Sociali,
Scientifico-Tecnologica – garantisce l’opportunità di mettere a frutto le competenze e le professionalità più adeguate.
La struttura interdisciplinare del DEIM favorisce la partecipazione ai molteplici obiettivi strategici di Terza Missione/Impatto sociale individuati dall’Agenzia Nazionale di Valutazione del sistema Universitario e della Ricerca. L’area delle scienze economiche-statistiche (ECO-STAT) coinvolge le realtà produttive e imprenditoriali del territorio; l’area delle scienze storiche-sociali (STO-SOC) si relaziona con le istituzioni politiche e amministrative, il sistema scolastico-educativo e gli operatori del terzo settore; l’area scientifico tecnologica (SCI-TEC) è presente nel campo dell’innovazione tecnologia e della sua valorizzazione sul territorio. Si aggiunge l’attenzione specifica verso la produzione e gestione di beni artistici e culturali (BBCC).
Le tre aree partecipano inoltre alle attività di formazione permanente e di didattica, alle attività di public engagement, alla produzione di beni pubblici, al sostegno all’Open science e al perseguimento degli obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile (SDGs) fissati dall’Agenda 2030 delle Nazioni Unite.
