In the DISTU strategic plan 2022-2024, approved by the Board of Directors in the meeting on December 10, 2021, the departmental TM activities are presented.
From the strategic plan, the close and strong connection between DISTU and the socio-economic realities of the local and provincial territory is evident through various relationships (also formalized in agreements and memoranda of understanding) with institutions, organizations, businesses, and professional associations. These relationships not only provide students with opportunities for training prior to entering the workforce (internships), but also foster dense cooperation (or contamination) between the university and the local community (Knowledge Society, Public Understanding of Science, Public Engagement, etc.).
The TM activities of DISTU are carried out through collaboration and interaction, in a true process of contamination, with civil society and the entrepreneurial fabric (schools, institutions, public entities, businesses, etc.). To meet the cultural and economic needs of these specific contexts, they involve the production and dissemination of educational materials, guidelines, informative brochures, as well as the provision of training courses at different levels, the organization of exhibitions, concerts, public readings, book presentations, etc. To maintain and enhance these initiatives, a forum for discussion between DISTU, public entities, professionals, and businesses has been created.
Among the TM activities of DISTU, numerous agreements with local entities are highlighted, linked to the territory of the municipality or the province of Viterbo, but also agreements at regional and national levels, with particular attention to projects for the management of archaeological and museum assets in various Italian provinces (excavation campaigns, museum entities).
