Museums Network of Tuscia University

The Tuscia University of Viterbo owns a valuable heritage of historical buildings and museum collections which encompass  different fields: history, cultural anthropology, natural sciences and fine arts. In order to preserve, restore, manage and open to the general public this significant heritage, the SMA - Sistema Museale di Ateneo (Museums Network of Tuscia University) was established. The SMA aims also to promote scientific research based on the collections and make them available for institutional teaching activities. The SMA will enhance integration among museums, archives and scientific collections of the University, in order to provide optimal allocation and management of funding and resources. It will ultimately constitute an ideal itinerary con¬necting many aspects of historical heritage and scientific research in the Tuscia University.
