Classrooms, study rooms and laboratories

The Department offers its courses in a number of facilities, each equipped with the facilities and services to provide students with a complete and high quality educational experience.

Courses in Economics are held at the Department’s headquarters in Viterbo, at Via del Paradiso, 47 (Business Economics L-18 II and III years, Marketing and Quality LM-77, Administration, Finance and Control LM-77) and at the Riello Campus (Business Economics L-18 I year). The Via del Paradiso Campus has seven classrooms, two state-of-the-art computer labs and numerous common study areas where students can deepen their knowledge in a comfortable and stimulating environment. The classrooms are modern and equipped to facilitate learning, thanks to the use of multimedia tools that make the lessons interactive and engaging.

The site dedicated to the engineering, design and sport science courses (Industrial Engineering L-9, Design L-4, Mechanical Engineering LM-33, Sports, Wellness and Exercise in the Natural Environment L-22, and Biobuilding Techniques L-P01) is located at the Riello Campus in Largo dell’Università. Here, students have access to ten classrooms, three teaching-science laboratories equipped with the latest equipment for experimentation and research, and a computer lab where they can develop essential practical skills. In addition, numerous student spaces are available for individual and group study, fostering a dynamic and collaborative academic environment.

L-36 Political Science and International Relations, on the other hand, is offered at the University’s historic location at Santa Maria in Gradi, 4. Here, our department not only has three fully equipped classrooms and advanced computer labs, but also ample common spaces that invite reflection and discussion among students and faculty, helping to create a lively and participatory academic community.

The Civitavecchia Campus hosts the courses L-18 Business Economics and LM-76 Circular Economy, in a modern building with seven classrooms equipped with the latest teaching technologies. This facility offers students an ideal environment for studying and deepening cutting-edge economic topics, with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation.

The Rieti Campus, on the other hand, hosts the L-18 Economics of Innovation course, which takes place in a dedicated classroom on the local university campus. This location, although more intimate, offers a focused and stimulating environment for students interested in developing specific skills in the field of economic innovation.

All of the department’s classrooms are equipped with multimedia technology to ensure a modern and effective learning experience. In addition, the entire department, including many outdoor areas, is covered by a high-speed Wi-Fi network. Students have free access to the university network, which allows them to consult important databases, international scientific journals and other electronic resources essential to their studies and research, ensuring that their knowledge is constantly updated and their learning is fully supported.

    Students studying at the Viterbo site have access to various common areas within the complex; among the spaces to be noted is a large and bright atrium with seating for about 30 people, adjacent to the department’s refreshment area.

    Students have access to several communal areas throughout the campus. In particular, in Block F there are:

    • a study room with 100 seats on the second floor
    • a study area with 20 seats adjacent to classroom F1 and classroom F2
    • a study area with 20 seats on the first floor adjacent to classroom F8

    Students have access to a variety of shared spaces within the complex, including an atrium with approximately 30 seats situated adjacent to the degree course secretariats as well as the refreshment area.
    In the areas designated for student use, there are numerous points of access to the electricity network for powering laptops and other electronic devices. Access to the student Wi-Fi network is available in all areas designated for student use, in lecture rooms and in numerous areas outside the buildings.

    The Civitavecchia site comprises one student classroom with 22 seats, located on the third floor.
    In the areas accessible to the student community, there are multiple points of access to the electrical network, allowing for the charging of laptops and other electronic devices. The student Wi-Fi network is available in all areas designated for common use, including lecture rooms and numerous outdoor locations.
