University life is not just about studying and spending hours staring at textbooks, and that’s why Unitus is attentive to the well-being of its students, making the C.U.S. VT – University Sports Center of Viterbo one of its strengths.
C.U.S. Viterbo has been active for over 25 years and is a non-profit amateur sports organization that promotes and encourages sports activities among students of the University of Tuscia. C.U.S. manages a sports center with multiple spaces available to students: two indoor courts where you can play tennis, five-a-side football, and basketball, a gym, and outdoor fields for football and soccer. The city’s C.U.S. also offers various courses including tennis, krav maga, classical and modern dance, artistic skating, belly dancing, soccer school, yoga, swimming (in agreement with the FIN swimming pool), and dragon boat at the Capodimonte Sailing Club.
The University Sports Center of Viterbo is located in Via S. Camillo de Lellis, near the Riello Campus.
The University Sports Center of Viterbo is not exclusively for students. The following individuals can also join:
The University of Tuscia is committed to promoting talent and is one of the few Italian institutions that has adopted the Athlete Student Regulation – in line with the “EU Guidelines on Dual Career of Athletes” – which commits to supporting student athletes who compete at a competitive level. Athletes enrolled at the University of Tuscia can benefit from the opportunity to enroll in part-time study programs, be supported by an academic tutor, arrange exam dates with professors, and receive scholarships and grants.
The University of Tuscia has always been attentive to diverse needs, even during challenging times like the lockdown, which forced us into even more sedentary lifestyles. In this case too, the University and CUS Viterbo have not forgotten the importance of physical activity, publishing on the website and social media channels a training program consisting of seven lessons.
