UNITUS promotes incoming and outgoing international mobility, offering opportunities for study, traineeships, training and teaching in cooperation with partner universities and organisations in European and non-European countries.

The Erasmus+ Programme offers UNITUS students different opportunities to undertake a study period abroad, attending courses, taking exams and carrying out other academic activities which, if agreed in the Learning Agreement and successfully completed, can be recognised as part of their degree programme.
Students can take part in multiple Erasmus+ mobilities during the same study cycle, including both study and traineeship mobility. Mobilities can be undertaken one after another, but the mobility periods cannot overlap.
The total duration of all Erasmus+ mobilities undertaken within the same study cycle cannot exceed:
– 12 months for Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree/PhD programmes;
– 24 months for single-cycle degree programmes.
Study mobility opportunities available at UNITUS include Erasmus+ KA131 mobility, including short-term mobility within Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), and Erasmus+ KA171 international mobility. Eligibility requirements, destinations, duration, application procedures and financial support vary depending on the type of mobility and the relevant call for applications.
New call for applications coming in October 2026!
Erasmus+ KA131 mobility allows UNITUS students to spend a study period at one of the partner universities with which an Erasmus+ agreement is in place in their field of study.
During the mobility, students can attend courses and take exams at the host university, based on the activities agreed in the Learning Agreement. At the end of the mobility period, successfully completed activities are recognised by UNITUS in accordance with the relevant procedures.
The mobility can last from 2 to 12 months. Available destinations depend on the student’s degree programme and the Erasmus+ agreements currently in place.
To participate, students must apply for the UNITUS Erasmus+ Study Mobility Call, published annually, which sets out eligibility requirements, available destinations, selection criteria, deadlines and financial support.

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are short-term intensive Erasmus+ programmes organised by groups of European universities, combining physical mobility abroad with a mandatory virtual component.
The physical mobility period lasts between 5 and 30 days and must lead to the recognition of at least 3 ECTS credits. Activities may include lectures, workshops, group work and other innovative forms of learning and international collaboration.
UNITUS students can participate in BIPs in which the University is involved, according to the procedures set out in the relevant calls or notices.

The Erasmus+ KA171 programme offers study mobility opportunities between UNITUS and partner universities in non-EU countries within international cooperation projects funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.
Available destinations depend on the countries, partner universities and subject areas covered by the individual KA171 projects currently active at UNITUS.
During the mobility, students can attend courses, take exams and carry out academic activities agreed in the Learning Agreement, which will subsequently be recognised as part of their degree programme.
To participate, students must apply for the specific Erasmus+ KA171 calls for applications, which set out available destinations, number of places, eligibility requirements, mobility duration, selection criteria and financial support.

The Erasmus+ Traineeship Programme allows UNITUS students to undertake a traineeship abroad at companies, organisations, universities and other eligible organisations, gaining professional experience and developing skills in an international environment.
Students can take part in multiple Erasmus+ mobilities during the same study cycle, including both study and traineeship mobility. Mobilities can be undertaken one after another, but the mobility periods cannot overlap.
The total duration of all Erasmus+ mobilities undertaken within the same study cycle cannot exceed:
– 12 months for Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree/PhD programmes;
– 24 months for single-cycle degree programmes.
Throughout the year, different Erasmus+ Traineeship opportunities are available through the UNITUS Traineeship Call and through additional calls promoted by consortia, projects and associations in which UNITUS is a partner. Each call may have different eligibility requirements, deadlines, application and selection procedures, destinations and financial support.

The UNITUS Erasmus+ Traineeship Call allows UNITUS students to undertake a traineeship abroad at companies, organisations, universities and other eligible organisations, with Erasmus+ financial support.
The mobility must last at least 2 months (60 days). Under the UNITUS Call, up to a maximum of 3 months of mobility can be funded.
Students are responsible for finding their host organisation. To support their search, they can consult the list of organisations that have previously hosted UNITUS students or have expressed an interest in hosting Erasmus+ trainees.
The call sets out eligibility requirements, eligible destinations, deadlines, application and selection procedures and financial support.
