Erasmus+

The University of Tuscia has supported the Erasmus+ Program since its inception, which it considers a tool of fundamental importance for the internationalization process of the University.

To this end, it annually adopts strategies aimed at enhancing the mobility of the entire Student Community, both inbound and outbound, with partner universities in European and non-European countries, designed to increase the University’s attractiveness, number, and quality of incoming and outgoing flows.

Outgoing mobility

Study periods spent abroad are the cornerstone of the Erasmus+ Program and have an extremely positive impact on a student’s professional prospects. They also represent an opportunity to enhance one’s language skills, increase one’s self-esteem and independence, and immerse oneself in a new culture. Erasmus+ offers the additional opportunity to combine a period of study abroad with an internship.
Mobility is possible for Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree and Doctoral Course students.

UNITUS Students can take part in this critically important European Program through the annually published Calls for Selection.
The Erasmus Student or Student may receive, in addition to the EU contribution, a supplementary contribution from the University.
The selection of students is made on the basis of the University’s Call for Selection, which is published annually for periods of study taking place between June 1 of the same year and October 31 of the following year.

Opportunities for Student Mobility

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle Student can confront themselves with university and work realities of an international nature, taking courses and taking exams in another Institute of Higher Education and practicing an internship in a company abroad: the two experiences can both alternate and repeat within the overall duration of 12 months for each cycle of studies.

Students and Recent Graduates to receive the grant must apply for both study and internship mobility calls offered by the University.

    • TO LEARN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: This is one of the goals of almost all participants, who can learn the language faster through immersion in the host country, participating in classes, communicating with other students, or even just experiencing everyday life.
    • TO DISCOVER NEW SOCIETIES AND CULTURES: Cultural immersion in a differently structured society is definitely one of the main purposes of the program.

    • ACADEMIC RECOGNITION: Thanks to the study plan, the “Learning Agreement,” it is possible to have an unforgettable experience abroad without risking “wasting time.” In fact, your home university will recognize all exams taken during Erasmus if previously agreed upon.
    • TO IMPROVE YOUR CURRICULUM: Knowing one more language, demonstrating resourcefulness, and the ability to adapt to the most diverse and new situations are all characteristics that will go a long way in starting your professional life, in the postgraduate moment. Many companies today require their candidates to speak at least one foreign language.
    • TO EXPERIENCE A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE: A period of stay and study abroad is undoubtedly an added value to your resume, which is why doing an Erasmus is important and useful. Not all students, once they finish university, can say they have had this experience. You can then stand out from many of your peers when entering the world of work.

    The Erasmus+ program allows student to spend part of their university course (from 3 to 12 months) in another European country. As an Erasmus student, you will have the opportunity to follow the courses, take the exams, and acquire credits.

    Before departure it is necessary:

    • Stipulating a financial agreement, which covers the mobility period, signed by the Institute to which they belong and the student;
    • Attending a plan ( Learning Agreement for Studies – Before the Mobility ) which establishes the program of studies to be followed abroad, signed and approved by the student, by the Institute to which they belong, and the host institute.

    At the end of mobility :

    • The host institute must issue to the student, or directly to the Institute to which they belong, a certificate attesting to the duration of mobility as well as the academic results achieved ( learning agreement for studies – after the mobility ).
    • The Institute to which it belongs must instead give full recognition to the activity turned and certified using the ECTS system or, if not available, an equivalent system; In addition, the mobility period should be recorded in the supplement diploma.

  • Mobility for the Purpose of Study - Erasmus+ KA171 (Non-European Countries)

    The Erasmus+ KA171 program offers student the opportunity to expand their horizons and make mobility beyond European borders. As for the Erasmus+ Ka131, the Ka71 mobility project allows you to attend courses, take exams, and acquire credits.

    Before departure, it is necessary:

    • Stipulating a financial agreement, which covers the mobility period, signed by the Institute to which they belong and the student;
    • Attending a plan ( Learning Agreement for Studies – Before the Mobility ) which establishes the program of studies to be followed abroad, signed and approved by the student, by the Institute to which they belong, and the host institute.

    At the end of mobility :

    • The host institute must issue to the student, or directly to the Institute to which they belong, a certificate attesting to the duration of mobility as well as the academic results achieved ( learning agreement for studies – after the mobility ).

  • Mobility for the purpose of Traineeship in an EU country

    The Erasmus for Traineeship program allows you to spend a period of internship abroad from 2 to 12 months, at a company or another organization, public or private, in one of the European countries participating in the program, starting from the first year of studies.

    Even assistants and language assistants, as well as recent graduates, can apply for a traineeship. The latter will have to respond to the university announcement before graduating; From the moment of obtaining the degree, there are 12 months to carry out Traineeship mobility.

    Before departure, it is necessary:

      • Stipulating a financial agreement, which covers the mobility period, signed by the Institute to which they belong and the student;
      • Detaching a study plan ( Learning Agreement for Traineeship – Before the Mobility ) which establishes the training program to follow abroad; This document is approved and signed by the student, by the Institute of belonging, and by the host company.

    At the end of mobility, it is necessary:

      • The host company must issue the student a certificate certifying the duration of mobility, the activities carried out, as well as the results achieved ( Learning Agreement for Traineeship – After the Mobility ) in terms of knowledge, skills, acquired skills, and a final judgment on the mobility taken;
      • The Institute to which it belongs must give full recognition to the activity carried out and certified, possibly integrating it within the student’s study program and inserting it in the supplement diploma.
