  • "Marco Polo" Programme

    “Marco Polo” Programme at the University of Tuscia

    The University of Tuscia participates in the “Marco Polo” Programme, an initiative that offers Chinese students the opportunity to enroll in bachelor’s degree programs, single-cycle master’s degree programs, and master’s degree programs in Italy.

    Pre-enrollment and Entry Visa

    Students participating in the “Marco Polo” Programme must complete an online pre-enrollment procedure through the Universitaly portal. Pre-enrollment is necessary to obtain an entry visa for Italy and to participate in the selected study programme at the University of Tuscia. Detailed instructions for pre-enrollment will be available on the Ministry of University and Research website and on the Universitaly portal starting in June each year.

    Study Programmes and Language Preparation

    Reserved spots are available for “Marco Polo” Programme students in various degree programmes offered by the University of Tuscia. Additionally, the University provides Italian language courses to support linguistic and cultural integration, thereby facilitating the academic journey of Chinese students in Italy.

  • Tools for inclusion

    The University of Tuscia stands up for students with special needs and learning disabilities (LD). You can require supportive tools for disability and LD filling the dedicated forms and sending them to the e-mail address: inclusione@unitus.it

    In particular, The University of Tuscia is involved in supporting students with dislexya through the European Project VRAILEXIA that has started in September 2020. VRAILEXIA  designs and implements an e-learning adaptive digital platform (BESPECIAL) for supporting students with dyslexia through the use of virtual reality and artificial intelligence.

  • Financial Aid

    A call for application si published every year in June by LazioDisco, the Regional Authority for the Right to Higher Education, you can apply for:

    Scholarship (Euros € 6,415.97 per year for non-resident)

    Accommodation (Dormitory)

    Canteen  1 free daily meal (corresponding to € 600 in total)

    If you are an Extra-EU exchange student within the Erasmus EU mobility programme, you can apply for contributions for international mobility (up to Euros 510.00 per month)

    UNITUS International Help Desk support prospective students during the application process, including gathering of the needed documentation (e.g., income and asset statements to be provided by local Italian embassies)

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers grants in favor of foreign citizens in Italy and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) for the academic year 2024-2025 in order to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific and technological fields, to promote Italian language and culture and to support Italy’s economic system in the world.
