The Laboratory is an environment with a strong interdisciplinary and international character, equipped with computer infrastructures used to carry out both research activities and teaching (internships, traineeships, final papers, theses).
The main areas of research developed are:
In collaboration with both European and non-European research groups, the laboratory performs data analysis, model formulation discrimination and validation of statistical models. Particular attention is given to the social aspect of new technologies as a driving force towards the green transition. Artificial intelligence and edge computing are used to make sensors increasingly cheaper and based on open-source software. In this way, companies’ operating costs can be drastically reduced, by turning to an increasingly specialized workforce that is attentive to the use of digital technologies.
Among the main aims and purposes of the laboratory is the search for research fundings through participation in calls and application to grants to support the research activity of young talents projected towards a career with a strong interdisciplinary character in an international context.
