Il corso di laurea interateneo tra Sapienza Università di Roma e Università della Tuscia con sede a Rieti, fornisce una solida preparazione multidisciplinare finalizzata a comprendere il funzionamento di ogni tipo di organizzazione aziendale (es. aziende private e pubbliche), del loro modello di business e del contesto ambientale all’interno del quale esse operano utilizzando, tra gli altri, strumenti quantitativi e processi digitalizzati, nell’ottica della comprensione delle potenzialità economiche territoriali, della gestione dell’innovazione, della sostenibilità e dell’economia circolare.

La preparazione multidisciplinare del corso consente lo sviluppo delle capacità di comprensione e l’acquisizione di conoscenze di metodo e di contenuto nel campo delle attività di ogni tipo di organizzazione aziendale (es. impresa), dei modelli di business e delle funzioni aziendali (es. amministrazione e contabilità, gestione, organizzazione, intermediazione finanziaria, tecnologia e innovazione dei processi), dei profili giuridici, del contesto ambientale, del settore e del sistema economico, dell’analisi matematico-statistica dei dati, dei processi di digitalizzazione, innovazione e sostenibilità.

  • Learning objectives

    The three-year inter-college degree course in “Economics of Innovation” (Class L-18), born from the collaboration between the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Department of Law And Economics Of Production Activities and the University of Tuscia, Department of Economics, Engineering, Society and Business Organization, trains professional figures suitable to carry out entrepreneurial, managerial and consulting activities, within any business organisation operating in the economy of innovation. The curriculum ensures fundamental multidisciplinary training aimed at understanding the functioning of the business above organisations, their business model and the environmental context within which they operate using, among others, quantitative tools and digitised processes, to understand territorial economic potential, innovation management, environmental sustainability and circular economy.
    Graduates will accrue appropriate skills specific to the economics of innovation, with particular reference to the disciplines of economics, business, law, and mathematical statistics, developing proper methods of interpretative and quantitative data analysis, planning and management of business structures and dynamics with a view to innovation, protection of intellectual property, including processes of digital transformation and innovation of production chains.
    After an initial period (3 semesters) in which the student is provided with the indispensable basic knowledge in the areas of business, economics, mathematical-statistical, and law, including English language skills, the degree course includes teaching modules aimed at delving into the issues peculiar to the economics of innovation in the various areas of economics, business, law, mathematical-statistical (and computer science). The course may be divided into curricula. The essential multidisciplinary preparation of the course enables the development of comprehension skills and the acquisition of method and content knowledge in the field of the activities of all types of business organisations (e.g., enterprise), business models and business functions (e.g., administration and accounting, management, organisation, financial intermediation, technology and process innovation), legal profiles, environmental context, sector and economic system, mathematical-statistical data analysis, and processes of digitalisation, innovation and sustainability. There are options for in-depth and practical training activities (art. 10, c. 5, l. d, DM 270/04) based on laboratory activities on business plans and fundraising. The final exam represents the conclusion of the course.

  • Professional Outlets

    Profilo: Experts in the economic and business profiles of innovation, sustainability and circular economy

    Functions: The course of study aims to train junior-intermediate professional profiles (e.g., officer, cadre, consultant) in the different economic and business areas of innovation, sustainability and circular economy, with particular reference to innovation management, business plan, business models and fundraising; the digital transformation of business organisations; data management and analysis, data mining, big data; technologies and innovation in production chains; resource use, waste and recycling processes from a circularity perspective. The profile outlined above enables graduates to achieve a preparation to find employment, already at the end of the three-year course.

    Skills: The skills associated with these professional profiles are economic, business, legal, mathematical-statistical (and IT). Graduates are equipped with skills in sustainability policy-making and innovation management; project and process management skills, especially from the perspective of circularity; skills in identifying an intellectual property; and soft skills in language and data analysis.

    Career outlets: The job outlets pertain, in addition to starting and managing business activities, to the actions of employees, cadres, managerial consultants in all kinds of business organisations.

     

    Profile: Professionals in accounting and finance

    Functions: The Course of Study aims to train professional profiles operating at various levels (e.g., employee, cadre, consultant) in the accounting and/or financial fields to:

    • Analyze, interpret and prepare corporate accounting organisation and management (e.g., accounting records);
    • Operate and manage credit, insurance and securities brokerage;
    • Analyze and select sources of corporate financing.

    Skills: The skills associated with these job profiles are derived primarily from business and finance skills. Graduates are equipped with specialised skills inherent in accounting analysis and financial analysis.

    Career outlets: Employment outlets pertain to business start-ups and/or organizations such as businesses, banks, securities market intermediaries, public agencies, nonprofit organisations, companies and professional consulting firms. They can enter regulated liberal professions with registration as an expert accountant/legal auditor upon completing the internship and passing the relevant state exam.

     

    Profile: Management and data analysis experts

    Functions: The Course of Study aims to train professional profiles operating in the areas of business management with consulting functions in the areas of planning, managerial, organisational, production, and data analysis. The professional profile outlined above collaborates as an internal member of the company’s organization or as an external consultant, also supporting more experienced figures in the area of business management, performing, for example, the functions of administration, strategic planning and management, finance and treasury management; procurement process management; innovation management; data analysis and interpretation; business organization and digital transformation.

    Skills: The skills associated with these job profiles are derived mainly from managerial skills to identify and manage various resources in line with achieving business objectives. These skills pertain to the field of business disciplines, appropriately complemented by those in the fields of economics, mathematics-statistics, law and computer science.

    Career outlets: Employment outlets pertain to entrepreneurial, managerial and consulting activities in business organisations of various types; access to regulated liberal professions is possible with registration as an expert accountant/legal auditor upon completion of internship and passing the relevant state exam.

    The L-18 undergraduate classes provide access to master’s degrees, particularly for LM-77.
