ABSTRACT

The CIN-EAT project aims to develop an easily transportable prototype module for the slaughtering of wild ungulates, particularly wild boar, with the objective of facilitating the commercialization of their meat in compliance with current regulations (Reg. EC 853/2004). The project also seeks to encourage the culling of wild boar in areas particularly vulnerable to damage and road accidents, contributing to population control and reducing the risk of African swine fever spread. The module will be equipped with a refrigeration unit for the proper cooling and processing of the meat, enabling the commercialization of both culled and captured animals.
