Additional Formative Obligations (OFA)

All students enrolling for the first time at the University of Tuscia must take an entrance test to finalize their enrollment. The test is mandatory. It is not a selective exam but rather an assessment of the general preparation level and comprehension skills necessary for attending the courses.

A negative outcome on the test does not prevent enrollment in the chosen course; instead, it helps identify possible deficiencies in the student’s preparation. In case of a negative outcome, the student will be assigned an additional formative obligation (OFA). Students with an OFA must improve their preparation by completing it within the first year of the course. For more information, contact distudidattica@unitus.it.

What are Additional Formative Obligations?

As stipulated by D.M. 270/2004, all freshmen must take an entrance test to finalize their enrollment. These tests are not selective; therefore, they do not prevent enrollment in the desired degree course but allow for the verification of basic knowledge necessary to successfully pursue the study program.

In case the test is not passed, it is still possible to enroll, but it will be necessary to carry out some additional activities aimed at recovering the Additional Formative Obligations (OFA).

Recovery of OFA

The aforementioned additional activities will be specified during the academic year, and it will be the responsibility of each Department to organize recovery courses and laboratories to support students in overcoming the training debt.

OFA must be fulfilled by the student within the first year of the course.
