  • Admission

    Students submit an application for pre-enrollment and a form in which they express the choice of the two languages. Admission to the degree course is subject to verification of possession of the curricular requirements and personal preparation.

The Course aims to train graduates with in-depth methodological and theoretical-scientific skills in two
foreign languages, in which full fluency (not less than the C2 level of the CEFR scales for the first language, and not less than C1 level for the second language), and in-depth knowledge of the literary traditions of at least one of the chosen languages, as well as the relations that exist between language, literary tradition and cultural tradition in the widest sense, also from a diachronic perspective.

The programme lends itself to forming graduates with high-level skills in translation, which can be used in the editorial field of academic writing, literature and multimedia. Graduates will master the theoretical and practical tools for linguistic analysis of all text types, for all speaker types, and from any kind of linguistic and/or cultural context.

  • Learning objectives

    Through two distinct curricula, the course aims to train master’s degree graduates with in-depth methodological and theoretical-scientific skills regarding two foreign languages, of which full linguistic mastery must be acquired (not lower than level C2 as regards the first language, not lower than level C1 as regards the second language) and in-depth knowledge also in relation to literary traditions and cultural productions and in a diachronic perspective.

  • Career opportunities

    The course trains graduates with high skills in translation, documentation techniques, drafting, editing and revision of texts, which can be used in the publishing field in the fields of non-fiction, literature and multimedia and linguistic-cultural intermediation.

    1st and 2nd level Professional Master programmes, specialization schools, PhD programmes.
