The laboratory, located on the second floor of the Civitavecchia campus, is used for practical teaching exercises. It can host up to 16 students who can work in pairs using fully equipped workstations.
The laboratory has equipment for practical exercises in both classical and modern physics. There are complete sets for exercises in the fields of mechanics (pendulums, springs, scales, weights, chronometers), calorimetry (calorimeters, thermometers), electricity (multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, circuit construction elements), and optics (optical benches, lenses, diffraction gratings, polarisers). The physics laboratory is used for the teaching of bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
