POLITICAL SCIENCE AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION

In this curriculum, themes of politics, economics, law, sociology, and history interact with those of public communication languages. In addition to common exams, students can choose two options to deepen two different thematic areas:

• Option A (Public Communication, which includes knowledge of public and political languages, mechanisms of public communication, and the media system);

• Option B (Political Science, which addresses supranational issues, including geopolitics and international security, relations between states, and processes that stimulate the emergence of political-military issues).

  • Career opportunities

    The degree program allows access to two profiles:

    Expert official and manager in political science, with employment opportunities in public and private, national and international administrations; in political institutions and public and private associations; in governmental and non-governmental organizations; and in public and private companies operating internationally and in the field of security.

    • Profile of consultant in the management and production of public communication, which finds employment opportunities in the study offices of national and international government institutions, in political parties and associations, in communication offices of public administrations and organizations, private companies, editorial offices, journalistic and radio-television offices; as well as in marketing and online communication offices of public and private companies.

INVESTIGATIONS AND INTERNAL AND INTERNATIONAL SECURITY

Those who enroll can delve into the issues of internal security, where national and international risk contexts are analyzed from legal, economic, and historical-social perspectives. Graduates are provided with a solid methodological and operational knowledge aimed at organizing and managing modern investigative and internal and external security strategies, both in the public and private sectors. This is achieved through distinctive courses, including cybersecurity, technical consultancy and investigation, legal and penitentiary organization, forensic psychiatry, and applied criminology laboratory. The curriculum also benefits from the valuable collaboration of high-level officials from the Police, Finance Police, and Firefighters, adding significant value to the educational path.

This curriculum, in particular, is designed for students of L-36 as a natural continuation of their educational journey.

  • Career opportunities

    The specialization in “Investigations and Internal and International Security” allows graduates to access the role of an expert in investigations and security, with employment opportunities in administrative and operational sectors of both national and international public and private entities. This includes research institutes and non-governmental organizations operating in the field of internal and international security. Graduates can also find employment in companies involved in investigation, data protection, and securing data, as well as ensuring the security of industrial sites, airports, infrastructure, ports, and strategic communication hubs.

    The curriculum, in particular, enables individuals to perform sector-specific activities in both the public and private sectors, through competitive exams or any necessary qualifications. Graduates may participate in competitions for law enforcement agencies and pursue a career in the prefecture.

INTERNATIONAL POLICIES AND EUROMEDITERRANEAN RELATIONS

(Double Degree with the University of the French Riviera, Nice)

The curriculum allows Italian undergraduate graduates and other foreign students (especially French) to complete their education through a path that promotes original training, oriented towards internationalization and the interdisciplinary nature of the courses. The curriculum includes educational activities in Italy and France at the University of the French Riviera in Nice, thanks to Structured International Mobility (SIM).

In the first year, students will spend a study period in France as part of the Master’s program in “Applied Foreign Languages” and “Languages and International Business. Franco-Italian Relations” (LEA). This Master’s program is an innovative and professionalizing course of study that develops project management skills (private and public) in the European and Franco-Italian context, with courses in French, Italian, and English.

In the second year, students will study at the University of Tuscia in the disciplinary areas specific to the degree program, further exploring linguistic aspects, with a particular focus on international relations. Therefore, students will have the opportunity to obtain a double degree: the Master’s degree (in Italy) and the Master’s Diploma (in France).
