The Department of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences has historically been active in Conto Terzi (contracts and agreements). On average, in recent years, about 80 have been activated annually, demonstrating a profitable collaboration and interaction with companies of international, national, and local dimensions. Examples include ENEL, Ferrero, CUKI Cofresco, UNICOOP Tirreno, Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico, Coopernocciole, Assofrutti, etc.

In addition, the Department is currently home to 3 spin-offs that provide specific services to the territory:

  • Arcadia (ref. Prof. Colla), which evaluates of the biostimulant activity of substances and microorganisms for the development of new products;
  • Dia. (ref. Prof. Balestra) innovative start-up for phytosanitary consultancy and analysis;
  • Idea 2020 (ref. Prof. Senni) which provides services in the field of rural development cooperation and multifunctional agriculture. Still, the Department intends to stimulate the birth of new spin-offs, to become more and more a reference point for technological innovation.

 

Finally, the agreements for the internship of students are also part of the institutional activities of the Department and represent a point of reference for the social and productive realities of Tuscia and beyond.
