The Laboratory of Digital Technologies Applied to Agriculture is dedicated to research and development of innovative solutions for the agricultural sector, integrating advanced technologies such as sensors, monitoring systems, artificial intelligence, and robotics.

Its primary objective is to optimize resource management, boost productivity, and enhance the environmental, economic, and social sustainability of agricultural operations.

The laboratory’s activities span precision agriculture and ecological monitoring, addressing both crop and livestock management, fostering the digitalization of the agri-food sector.

A significant part of its work, conducted in close collaboration with the Laboratory of Ergonomics and Occupational Safety, involves digital applications aimed at improving health and safety in the agricultural and forestry sectors.

Additional areas of interest include developing digital solutions for food quality control, traceability, reducing food waste, and improving water management efficiency.

The laboratory also boasts facilities for video production and post-production using chroma-key technology, a valuable tool for scientific dissemination and educational purposes.
