Field-based educational activities

In May, the professors of Marine Biology and Ecology degree programme organizes the Blue Week: an intensive five-day immersion in the picturesque setting of Ponza Island. During this week, students engage in both fieldwork and laboratory exercises, applying the theoretical and practical knowledge gained throughout their studies. On Ponza Island, the Department has recently established a Biological Station dedicated to the study of marine and coastal ecosystems, providing students and researchers with the opportunity to undertake a wide range of experimental investigations.
