Ethics Committee

Article 34 of the Code of Ethics and Conduct, adopted by this University by Rector’s Decree no. 827/19 of 31 October 2019 and most recently amended by Rector’s Decree no. 104 of 4 March 2025, regulates the composition of the Ethics Committee, appointed by decree of the Rector, after consultation with the Academic Senate.

The functions of the Ethics Committee are set out in Article 33 of the Code of Ethics and Conduct:

• it performs investigative functions with a view to possibly proposing the adoption of the sanctions referred to in Article 37 and may also propose to the Rector the initiation of disciplinary proceedings;
• it carries out advisory, analytical, investigative and monitoring functions regarding the implementation and compliance with this Code;
• it promotes, where possible, the amicable settlement of any disputes.

The term of office is three years and may be renewed for a further term.

The Ethics Committee, appointed for the three-year period 2026–2029 by Rector’s Decree no. 78 of 30 January 2026, is composed as follows:

• Prof. Andrea GENOVESE | Chair – Full Professor of Legal Studies (GSD 12/GIUR-01) – Department of Legal, Social and Educational Sciences (DIKE)
• Prof. Bruno Mattia BIZZARRI | Associate Professor – Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences (DEB)
• Dr. Costanza CIGNI | Researcher – Department of Linguistic, Literary, Historical-Philosophical and Legal Studies (DISTU)
• Dr. Antonio LANDI | Permanent technical-administrative staff – Central Administration, Office for Executive and Technical-Administrative Staff
• Dr. Sabrina MORUCCI | Permanent technical-administrative staff – Central Administration, Office for Procurement Procedures, Contracts and Works Monitoring

Participation in the Ethics Committee does not entail the payment of fees, remuneration, allowances, or expense reimbursements.
