The project “Guidelines for Healthy Eating” was designed to promote the Italian CREA guidelines for a healthy diet, outlined in 10 simple steps, through targeted seminars and informative materials. The initiative, carried out between May 2022 and February 2023, consisted of two main components:
High Schools: Seminars lasting approximately one hour, mainly aimed at students in the third, fourth, and fifth grades. These seminars introduced the guidelines and included the distribution of a printed booklet, designed as a practical guide for individuals of all ages and health conditions, which students could share with their families. Additionally, the degree programs offered by the Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences (DEB), aimed at training nutritionist biologists, were presented. Specifically, the L-13 (Biological Sciences) and LM-61 (Food Science and Human Nutrition) degree programs were highlighted, along with relevant informational materials. The first edition involved 16 institutes, primarily located in the province of Viterbo, but also in Rome, Frosinone, Terni, and Rieti, reaching approximately 1650 students through 27 in-person seminars.
Preschools and Primary Schools: Educational activities and games designed for children, accompanied by the distribution of a printed booklet to be shared with families. The first edition engaged 2 schools in Viterbo and Rome, involving around 100 children.
