The Biochemistry laboratory, located on the ground floor of Block B on the Riello campus, is the venue for practical teaching exercises. Thirty-five workstations are available.
There is plenty of equipment for conducting practical exercises in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics and immunology. In particular, the laboratory is equipped with three spectrophotometers, centrifuges for 50 mL and 0.5-2 mL tubes, PCR machine, devices for DNA and protein electrophoresis, transilluminator, pH-meters, and small benchtop instrumentation. The presence of chemical hoods also allows the teaching laboratory to be used for chemistry, analytical chemistry and organic chemistry exercises.
The Biochemistry laboratory is used for both bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
