It is indeed possible to pre-enroll on Universitaly without the CIMEA’s Statement of Comparability, Declaration of Value, or Diploma Supplement. However, it is important to note that the International Student Office will accept the pre-enrollment application “under reserve”.

In any case, in order to complete the enrollment process, students will be required to provide the CIMEA’s Statement of Comparability, Declaration of Value,  Diploma Supplement, or CIMEA’s Statement of Correspondence once they arrive in Viterbo. These documents are essential for verifying the equivalence of foreign qualifications and ensuring eligibility for enrollment.

5. Apply for a Visa

Perspective students can book an appointment with the competent Italian Embassy/Consulate for the Visa application after the pre-enrolment application through Universitaly has been validated by the International Student Office of the University of Tuscia.
The decision on issuing a Visa for study purposes is the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Italian Embassy/Consulate and the confirmation of acceptance that students will receive in reply to their online application is to be considered a supporting document to the Visa assessment procedures but does not automatically guarantee Visa issuance.
To obtain an entry visa for study purposes for University enrolment and, subsequently, of a residency permit, the foreign student must prove being in possession of economic means for subsistence during the planned stay. These means are quantified as € 467.65 per month for each month of duration of the academic year, equal to € 6,079.45 per year.
Students can access further details regarding this process in the Circular on the procedures for entry, residency, and enrolment of international students, as well as the recognition of qualifications for higher education courses in Italy. This circular is annually published by the Ministry of Universities and Research and can be found at this link.

For the 2024/2025 a.y., visa applications must be submitted to the competent diplomatic/consular missions no later than 29 November 2024.

6. Fees and taxes for International Students

According to the University regulation for taxes and fees, the registration fee for extra EU students is fixed at 1000€ per year. Students coming from one of the countries included in the list of the Ministry of Education will pay 533,79 per year.
