work in progress
Research and development agreements are a tool for ongoing collaboration for research purposes established between the Department and a specific company, body or institution. They are characterized by a duration, an amount and specific objectives.
The Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences carries out numerous research activities through funding deriving from agreements with other national public bodies, international bodies, public and private research bodies, other universities, local administrations (regions and autonomous provinces), companies or other entities private. The research activities carried out under agreement by the Department are mainly in the environmental, chemical, physical and biological fields, with particular attention to the issues of safeguarding and conserving biodiversity and ecosystems, in a One Health approach.
The Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences puts its structures, instruments and skills at the service of the territory, carrying out numerous activities on behalf of third parties, for local and national entities. In particular, the Department provides environmental monitoring and chemical-physical and biological characterization services of materials, environmental matrices and biological matrices.
