Student Advocate

The Student Advocate is available to the student community to assist them in exercising their rights and to receive any complaints. The Advocate has the right to carry out investigations, may request documents and clarifications from any office or structure of the University, and reports to the Rector who, in relation to the specific case, after consulting the Academic Senate, takes the necessary actions. The Student Advocate prepares an annual report on the activities carried out and sends a copy to the Rector and to the Student Council.

The University of Tuscia therefore provides the student community with free legal advice aimed at resolving issues related to their university studies. The Student Community Senate (now Student Community Council), in its meeting on 29.11.2011, prepared a document outlining what the student advocate can or cannot do.

Since November 1st, 2019, the Student Advocate is lawyer Emilio VALENTI (appointment decree no. 826/19 dated 31.10.2019), with a law office in Rome – Via del Corso no. 300, who can be contacted via email: difensorestudenti@unitus.it (to write to the Student Advocate, the use of the institutional @studenti.unitus.it account is required).
