The laboratory, located on the ground floor of block B of the Riello campus, is used for practical teaching exercises. It can accommodate 16 students plus 1 instructor, who can work in pairs using equipped workstations. Each workstation is equipped with 2 burettes for volumetric analyses and all the necessary glassware to carry out the aforementioned determinations.
The shared equipment includes a reagent cabinet managed by the exercise supervisor, six pH meters with measuring electrodes, four heating plates, and six magnetic stirrers. An electronic analytical balance completes the list of small instruments.
Among the structural equipment in the laboratory, there are two fume hoods for handling volatile and/or hazardous reagents. The main activity consists of teaching laboratory practices that, by the end of the course, students should be able to perform with a high degree of autonomy and safety. The chemistry laboratory is used for both undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
