GeoStoGrammIt is a project aimed at enhancing the textual heritage consisting of grammars and other tools for learning Italian. The project balances historical perspective with geographical perspective and involves the census and cataloging of the text heritage into an accessible database. This database will contain a sample of significant texts, new text analyses, and their dissemination to different audiences (specialists, publishers, schools, universities, general users).
The project has practical implications comparable to those of similar computer tools with a user-friendly search interface (such as OVI corpus, lessicografia.it portal, etc.), allowing interaction between research, teaching, and non-specialist audiences (especially in schools) through specific thematic insights and outreach activities. The project will save economic and time resources (for researchers, publishers, users) by providing a database and search interface that will allow accessing information and texts currently dispersed in various archives through a single portal.
