Studying is a fundamental right protected by the Italian Constitution. Everyone should have the same opportunities to study and expand their cultural knowledge, regardless of their economic resources. Education and progress are valuable assets not only for individuals but for the entire community, which is why it is essential to provide incentives and support to all those who wish to study, even in cases of limited financial resources.
In the Lazio Region, DiSCo – the Regional Agency for the Right to Education and Knowledge – is responsible for providing various services each year to support students who wish to invest in themselves by dedicating themselves to studying.
It is worth noting that until a few years ago, the agency was called Laziodisu (Agency for University Education Rights in Lazio). Subsequently, with Regional Law No. 6 of July 27, 2018, the functions previously entrusted to Laziodisu were modified and expanded, leading to the establishment of the current Lazio DiSCo.
