Modelli innovativi per applicazioni di scienze omiche avanzate

ABSTRACT

The project raises within the mission of the Consorzio Interuniversitario per le Biotecnologie (CIB), to promote the development of the academic Italian R&D system within the different sectors of advanced biotechnologies. In particular, in the past recent years, CIB focused its initiative to stimulate new interests towards the cultural and technological aspects more novel and interdisciplinary. In the view of valorizing the results obtained in the previous competitive projects, here the CIB propose to start a project to develop innovative topics in the frame of three different biotechnological areas, with the following objectives:

(a) Area 1. Multiomics integrated approaches for translational medicine.

(b) Area 2. Applications of omic scienzes to study microbioma in relationship to the environment and climate changes.

(c) Area 3. Innovative technologies for advanced omic sciences in human and plant models.

The University of Tuscia, within the latter action area, will deal with the identification of wheat and tomato genotypes characterized by differential responses to different abiotic stresses, combining the phenotypic analysis of stress response to the molecular aspects approached with diversified omics analyses.
