ADDITIONAL LEARNING REQUIREMENTS (OFA)

Students who do not pass the Scientific Area Admission Test, which assesses basic knowledge in Mathematics and Chemistry, are required to fulfil the Additional Learning Requirements (Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi – OFA). Although the admission test may be taken multiple times, students must complete the free online courses provided by the Interuniversity Consortium for Integrated Access Systems (CISIA), specifically:

• “Basic Chemistry” – Basic Chemistry | Federica LMS for students with an OFA in Chemistry;
• “Basic Mathematics” – Basic Mathematics | Federica LMS for students with an OFA in Mathematics;
• both courses, if the OFA concerns both Chemistry and Mathematics.

The fulfilment of the OFA will be assessed through an on-site multiple-choice written examination.

• The Mathematics OFA examination is scheduled for November 2026;
• The Chemistry OFA examinations are scheduled for November 2026 and January 2027.

Students with an OFA are invited to contact the lecturers in Mathematics and General and Inorganic Chemistry for information on the dates, times and venue of the November and January examinations.

Students who do not fulfil the Mathematics OFA will not be allowed to take the Mathematics and Physics examinations.

Students who do not fulfil the Chemistry OFA will not be allowed to take the General and Inorganic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry examinations.

In all cases, students must fulfil their Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) by the end of the first academic year.
