Il laboratorio di Editoria Digitale si pone come obiettivo quello di mostrare, sia da un punto di vista teorico sia pragmatico, la “rimediazione” da parte dello strumento computazionale del concetto di libro. Verranno quindi analizzati esempi di edizioni digitali, partendo dal libro elettronico per arrivare alle edizioni critiche digitali, con un forte accento sia sull’aspetto documento centrico, rappresentato dalla codifica testuale e in particolare dal linguaggio della Text Encoding Initiative (TEI), sia su quello datacentrico, rappresentato dalle basi di dati relazionali e dal Web Semantico. Successivamente verranno presentati strumenti per l’analisi del testo letterario e la rappresentazione delle fonti primarie. Al mutamento delle forme documentarie è collegato un corrispondente cambiamento nelle forme e nelle modalità del racconto, e perciò all’interno del corso verrà anche affrontato il tema del digital storytelling.
Programma
Il programma del laboratorio di Editoria Digitale è incentrato sui formati e le tipologie di libri elettronici, sulla codifica dei testi, le edizioni critiche digitali, gli strumenti per l’elaborazione automatica e la visualizzazione dei testi letterari, il digital e il transmedia storytelling.
Propedeuticità
Non ci sono propedeuticità obbligatorie; ma si consiglia fortemente di aver sostenuto in precedenza almeno un esame relativo alle discipline informatiche, tra cui naturalmente “Informatica applicata alle discipline umanistiche”. In caso contrario contattare il docente.
