The laboratory is equipped with Walk-in Climate Chambers and climate chambers with revoFACE Programmer for the study of plant-environment interactions and the adaptation of plants to stress (extreme temperature, drought, flooding, salinity, etc.).

Additionally, tools are available for in vitro propagation of floricultural and ornamental species as well as for qualitative and quantitative analyses on plant material, with a particular focus on biochemical, physiological, and morphological investigations.

Specific research lines include:

• Studying the nutritional and biostimulant effects of fertilizers through in vivo and in vitro bioassays;
• Developing efficient micropropagation protocols in conventional systems and bioreactors;
• Biomass production in bioreactors for the extraction of nutraceutical biomolecules.

The laboratory is used for both research and educational activities (internships, training, final projects, and thesis work).
