    CAD AND GEOMATICS CLASSROOM

    COMPUTER ROOM

    The computer classrooms in Via San Camillo de Lellis and Largo dell’Università support the learning of Basic Computer Skills, and can be used by students following a reservation made by the teacher or by using the smart card. The classrooms are equipped with personal computers each connected to the Internet.

    The library system of the former Faculty of Agriculture is well equipped with volumes and journals in the field of Agricultural, Forestry, Biological and Chemical Sciences.

    E-MAIL ACCOUNT

    Each enrolled student is assigned an e-mail address of the type: nome.cognome@studenti.unitus.it.

    The password is the one communicated on the MAV and, if it has been lost, can be requested from the Single Student Secretariat. There are two methods of accessing the e-mail account:

    – webmail, which can be used by connecting to the address: http://uniservice.cineca.it/UniServiceWEB/appmanager/UniService/unitus-it

    or

    – e-mail client (e.g. Outlook Express) using ‘erismail.cineca.com’ as POP3 for receiving messages.

    STUDENT PORTAL

    ‘The Student Portal’ is a virtual counter from which it is possible to

    • Check whether you are up to date with your fees;
    • Update personal information such as residence and telephone number;
    • Update your personal e-mail address;
    • Change your access PIN;
    • View exams taken;
    • View tuition fee payments made.

    For access, it is necessary to enter the tax code and password (indicated on the MAV or issued by the Student secretariat).

    The Department can be accessed via the University Wireless network.

  • Server DAFNE

    With the funding obtained following the approval of the SAFE-Med project and national recognition as a Department of Excellence, the DAFNE was equipped with a state-of-the-art bioinformatics computing system available to the Department’s entire scientific community.
    The ‘Super Computer’ consists of two HPE servers connected to a central system (Odin) running the Centos 7 Linux operating system and on which the most widely used software in the fields of genomics, bioinformatics and biotechnology has been installed.
