The Laboratory is equipped with hardware and software used to perform both research and teaching activities (lessons, exercises, internships, graduate and doctoral theses).

The main activities conducted within the Laboratory include:

• Processing of production and economic data of farm from national and international databases;
• Analysis of farms’ balance sheets with particular attention to the capital evaluation and economic and financial results, including a focus on investments and innovation;
• Use of statistical and mathematical software to perform analyses on historical and forecast data related to various aspects of agricultural policy, markets and the relationship between agriculture and natural resources;
• Analysis of the connections between agriculture and society, with a specific focus on people facing physical, psycho-physical problems and/or at risk of social exclusion;
• Partial balance sheets of productive activities and estimates conducted in the context of agricultural and forestry appraisal.

The activities conducted in the Laboratory are useful and/or are carried out in collaboration with other research groups, as part of multidisciplinary approaches to agricultural, animal and environmental sciences.
