Biodiversity conservation, mitigation of climate change, defense of the soil and water resources are just some of the environmental emergencies in which forests play a fundamental role. The degree course addresses these issues by providing knowledge concerning the analysis and monitoring of forest ecosystems, forestry, evaluation and enhancement of forest products, defense of forest ecosystems, use of technologies for the management and conservation of forest resources in a sustainable management perspective.
Forestry planning and management activities dealing with biodiversity conservation, protection of the agro-forest landscape, management of protected areas, climate change mitigation, soil protection, both in the public and private sectors. Graduates can figure in the Register of Agronomists and Foresters, section B.
Natural continuation of studies is represented by the Master’s Degree courses of the LM-73 classes and LM 69 provided by University of Tuscia (and subject to verification of the demanded access requirements), as well as other Master’s degree courses of technical-scientific area.
There are two curricula: “Management of protected areas” and “Forests and climate change”.
