The micrometeorology laboratory works mainly on the greenhouse gases exchanges between ecosystems and atmosphere, using mainly the eddy covariance technique. The laboratory is equipped with a series of sensors, tools and facilities for the GHG flux measurements and for monitoring micro meteorological parameters.
High level competences that characterize the laboratory are also related to the data processing, quality evaluation of measurements and large data and metadata management, including HPC deployment of processing routines and FAIRness principles application.
The Micrometeorology laboratory is also part of the Ecosystem Thematic Centre (ETC) of the Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS) European Research Infrastructure, that is responsible for the organization, training and data processing of the European network of eddy covariance stations part of the ICOS network.
