Forest Logging and Dendroenergetics Laboratory

The Laboratory is equipped with modern scientific equipment used to carry out support activities for experimental areas and for institutions and companies involved in the forest management and dendroenergetics sector. At the same time, the laboratory also carries out educational and training functions (internships, placements, final projects and degree theses).

In particular, this laboratory deals with the following topics:

• infrastructures, work systems, logistics of forest operation activities;
• management of parks and public greenery;
• professional training and safety in forest operations, maintenance and management of greenery;
• interaction between forest mechanization and silviculture with a specific focus on low-impact of forest logging;
• energy from biomass;
• information technologies applied to the context of forest logging, precision forest harvesting and augmented reality.
