  • Personal profile and research interests

    Enrico is a research associate at Sapienza University and a lecturer at Tor Vergata University. He is also a development expert with extensive experience in designing, managing and evaluating major United Nations programmes in Latin America, Africa and Asia. His research interests include policy and project evaluation, applied environmental economics and development. 

    Enrico is completing his PhD in Quantitative Methods in Economics at Tuscia University while also being an invited visiting student at UC Berkeley. He holds two master’s degrees in Development Economics and International Cooperation and a bachelor’s in European Economics from Tor Vergata University of Rome.

    Project Title:
    Different Shades of Green: Unveiling Opportunities and Challenges of Green Growth Solutions in Developing Countries
    Summary:
    In my research project, I investigated green growth’s relevance, adequacy and effectiveness in supporting sustainable and environmentally friendly development in emerging economies. I analysed whether some of the green growth policies and tools currently implemented in emerging countries are consistent with the carbon neutrality targets outlined in the Paris Agreement. Through this work, I seek to identify how policy-makers and civil society could address increasing social inequality, environmental degradation and climate change effects while sustaining economic development.
