Ilaria Benedetti

Ilaria Benedetti is a Tenure Track of Economic Statistics at the Department of Economics, Engineering, Society and Business Organization, University of Tuscia (Italy). She achieved her PhD in Economics, Statistics and Sustainability at the University of Napoli Parthenope in 2018. She taught basic statistic courses at the Higher School of Economics in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia). She participates to various international research projects, including MAKSWELL project (MAKing Sustainable development and WELL-being frameworks work for policy analysis), Comunikos project (Communicating Uncertainty in Key Official Statistics) coordinated by GOPA Luxembourg S.à.r.l. by contributing to the project’s Task 4 (Measuring and Communicating uncertainty of poverty indicators at regional level). Her research interests cover various fields of statistics from applied works in income and living conditions, including poverty and well-being, consumer behaviour, environmental statistics to labour market analysis, including quality of job and subjective well-being, to more methodological aspects in multilevel modelling, purchasing power parities and spatial price indexes, frontier efficiency analysis, estimation of accuracy measures. She serves various international journals as reviewer. She authored a number of papers in international journals and she participated as speaker to several international conferences, such as the NTTS Conference on “New Techniques And Technologies For Statistics”, 9 March 2021 - 11 March 2021 and the 62nd ISI World Statistics Congress 2019, Come, Create, Connect. Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, 18-23 August 2019. She is a young member of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) since 2016 and a member of the Camillo Dagum/Tuscan Universities Research Centre since 2019.
