Il Dipartimento di Scienze Ecologiche e Biologiche (DEB) è lieto di ospitare il seminario dal titolo “Exploring Marine Biodiversity in Turkey: From Benthic Invertebrates to Colonial Hydrozoans”, a cura della Dr.ssa Sera Övgü Kabadayi Yildirim, Assistant Professor presso la Isparta University of Applied Sciences (Turchia).

La relatrice, esperta in invertebrati macrobentonici marini, concentra la propria attività di ricerca sulla biodiversità delle comunità bentoniche, con un focus particolare su specie sessili e coloniali. Nel corso del dottorato ha approfondito lo studio della diversità e dell’ecologia degli idrozoi nel Golfo di Antalya, e attualmente è impegnata in progetti di monitoraggio e valutazione della fauna marina lungo le coste turche, integrando osservazioni in campo e analisi di laboratorio.

Il seminario si terrà mercoledì 9 luglio 2025 alle ore 11:00 presso l’Aula Magna del Polo Universitario di Civitavecchia. L’incontro offrirà un’occasione di approfondimento e confronto sui recenti sviluppi nella ricerca sulla biodiversità marina del Mediterraneo orientale.
