FRESHWATER AND SOIL INVERTEBRATE COLLECTION

Thanks to years of research and teaching activities we are in possession of a small but significant collection of invertebrates, mainly soil and running waters arthropods. The collection deserves to be preserved, enhanced and find a proper accommodation. This material, collected mainly in protected areas of the Province of Viterbo is stored in preserving liquid and represents a significant sample of the local animal diversity, particularly as regards forest and freshwater ecosystems. It represents an important information on present arthropod biodiversity and will be a useful tool in all future studies on environmental quality assessment and biodiversity conservation and management.
