Brigida Palelli” Degree Award | 3rd Edition

The call for applications for the 3rd edition of the “Brigida Palelli” Degree Award, promoted by the Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences (DEB) of the University of Tuscia, is now available.

The award, worth €1,000, is intended for the best Master’s thesis in the field of Life Sciences and is open to graduates of the Master’s degree programmes in the classes LM-06 – Biology and LM-61 – Human Nutrition Sciences at the University of Tuscia.

To be eligible, applicants must have obtained their degree no more than one year before the publication date of the call and must have achieved a final degree grade of at least 107/110. Applications will be assessed based, in particular, on the contribution of the thesis to the field of Life Sciences, together with the final degree grade and academic record.

Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on 13 October 2026, following the procedures indicated in the call.

The Award was established in memory of Brigida Palelli, an employee of the University of Tuscia at the Technical-Scientific Library Centre and a former student of the Bachelor’s degree programme in Biological Sciences, who passed away prematurely. The award was established at the initiative of her husband, Luca Laureti, to support and recognise young graduates who, through their studies and research, contribute to the development of Life Sciences and to the dissemination of knowledge that can benefit living organisms and the environment.

Application deadline: 13 October 2026, 11:59 p.m.
