ABSTRACT

The project has 6 WP, related to specific themes of wheat production chain, in particular: production of flavonoid-rich functional foods with protective activities for promoting human health using cultivar rich in polyphenolic compounds; studies about plant – pathogen interaction, in particular between pigmented wheat plants and fungal pathogen Fusarium graminearum, causal agent of Fusarium Head Blight; use of wheat production chain wastes to develop new and green pesticides for FHB management and control.
