I am an expert in physics, mathematical and statistical modeling. My competences span from independent research activity (basic and applied) including data gathering and data analysis, algorithm development, machine learning, numerical simulations and programming, to management in science-based activities like project management and supervision, organization of international events and fostering contacts among heterogeneous research institutions all around the world. Main research activities: - Artificial intelligence applications for wildlife and environmental monitoring. - Computer Vision applications for agriculture and forestry with a particular focus on early disease detection due to biotic and abiotic stress. - Machine learning applications to the agri-food supply chain.
