      • Prof. Elisa Ovidi is an expert in plant cell biology, and her research has focused on the biology of reproduction in higher plants with regard to the structural and molecular components of pollen tubes. In addition, she has been involved in the biological and chemical characterization of plant-derived substances with the goal of identifying active molecules that can be used in the development of new drugs and principles for pharmaceutical and biotechnological applications. Prof. Ovidi has a wide range of technical expertise and over the years, she has established fruitful collaborations with several domestic and foreign laboratories and her research has been published in national and international journals.
