ABSTRACT

The project’s primary objective is the development of chestnut growing as a productive activity by introducing diversification activities that can support the farmer’s income and increasing the ecosystem functions associated with sustainable management of the fruit chestnut grove. All this by increasing the diversification and multifunctionality of the chestnut enterprise, highlighting its agro-environmental, agro-naturalistic, agro-touristic, agro-artisanal role and the possible ecosystem services, while improving the contribution of chestnut growing to environmental sustainability, enhancing its ecosystem services.
