Welcome for first-year students: the role of the student community in University governance and Quality Assurance

During the first weeks of classes, the Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences held
information and awareness-raising meetings for the student community. First-year students were
introduced to the teaching and administrative organization of the degree programmes and to
aspects related to Quality Assurance. A presentation and awareness-raising session on Quality
Assurance was also addressed to students enrolled in Master’s degree programmes.
The meetings had the specific aim of illustrating the role of the student community in University
governance and Quality Assurance, as well as the main ways in which students can participate
and provide their opinions.
