Roberta Cimmaruta is Associate Professor in Ecology at the Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences (DEB) of Tuscia University. Her research primarily focuses on analyzing the evolution and conservation of biodiversity, studied across a variety of organisms and environments through the approaches of Evolutionary Ecology, Population Genetics, and, more recently, Functional Diversity in marine-coastal communities. Applications of this research include the use of genetic resources in aquaculture, sustainable fisheries, and marine biodiversity conservation, as well as the study of genotype-environment relationships in marine and transitional waters species.
