Massimiliano Fenice

M. Fenice was born in Genoa on 22/12/1959. He is Full Professor (Microbiology, BIOS-15/A) in the Dept. of Ecological and Biological Sciences, University of Tuscia. He is author of more than 100 publications most of them in international journals with I.F. (H Index 2024: 32). His main research lines are: structure, composition and functionality of microbial communities in marine and extreme environments; production of bioactive microbial molecules; microbial treatment and reuse of effluents; optimisation of fermentation processes. He was chairman of the CCS in Environmental Biology. He is coordinator of the PhD programme in Ecology and Sustainable Management of Environmental Resources. He was member of the University Board of Directors and is a member of the University Research Commission.
