Marco Marcelli

Professor of Applied Oceanography and Biological Oceanography, he founded (2001) the Laboratory of Experimental Oceanology and Marine Ecology (LOSEM, DEB, University of Tuscia, http://www.oceaneers.it). His research focuses on: studying the interrelationships between physical, dynamic, and marine ecological processes; developing and refining methods, platforms, and instruments for measuring marine descriptive variables; studying the "Upper and Coastal Ocean," with particular emphasis on the dynamic and physical processes governing pelagic primary production; analyzing coastal use conflicts to create tools for sustainable management support; and studying coastal dynamics, including the application of predictive numerical models.
