- Bio
- Dr. Giordano Poneti earned his PhD in Chemistry in 2010 at the University of Florence, Italy, supervised by Professors Roberta Sessoli and Andrea Dei. He was a Temporary Research Fellow at “Guglielmo Marconi” University in Rome (2011) and an Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2016–2021), where he was named Young Scientist of the State of Rio de Janeiro (2019) and Affiliate Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (2021). Since 2022, he is an Assistant Professor at the University of Tuscia, Italy. His research focuses on the design, synthesis and multitechnique bistable molecular systems, molecules with switchable physical and chemical properties. It has led to 47 papers, 1957 citations, and an h-index of 24.
